Information about #196  (60" width)
The stain finish is technically the new Historic Danbury Brown, but is a bit darker than usual.  It is not as dark as Essex Brown, but it somewhere in the middle.  This new finish highlights various shades versus a more consistent hue. The wood species is mahogany. The back section has an area for a 15" appliance.  The sides are flanked with wine glass holders and shelves.  The sides hold 16 stem glasses and 30-40 regular/small sized glasses.  The front has a trash pull-out.  The full stained glass package is standard in this design (included in the price).
Notes:
The pics show red and blue stained glass.  This is the same bar, but with different color stained glass.  We made a mistake and inserted blue instead of red in the initial pictures.
The knobs are more shiny than the handles.  We just needed a knob for the pictures.  Naturally, the handles and knobs would appropriately match.

BLUM HARDWARE
The drawer glides are under-mount BLUM BLUMOTION.  The metal ball-bearing glides are under the drawer and not seen from the side (except for a little white piece).  As the drawer glides shut, the rail system takes control about 1" from close and 'softly' shuts the drawer.  This is not the standard 'snap-shut' that cabinet companies sell as an upgrade.  You may view a demonstration of this drawer system by clicking this link.  It will load a 5-second video highlighting the 'soft-close'.
The file is a .wmv standard microsoft file.  It should load to your default video player.
Important
The BLUM drawer glides are not available on the English Tavern, JR, or JRII.  Currently, the BLUM BLUMOTION glides are only available on the Canterbury, Sir Walter, Grand Devon, and The Second Empire.

CENTER FRONT TRASH
The front center comes standard with a middle trash can that slides open on two ball-bearing extension glides.  Currently, #196 features two smaller cans, but future models will likely feature a single larger can.

Information about the prototypes
When we first design a bar and take it to the warehouse for construction, there are numerous minor changes along the way.  Maybe we increase or decrease a moulding size, or change small aspects, or increase a mirror size, etc. Our prototypes are not unlike an Artist Proof.  The concept is very similar.  Where the printer is looking for the best balance in color, we are looking for the best 'design'.

Ultimately, after several design possibilities, we make a decision on a 'final design'.  Therefore, when ordering a bar that is listed as a prototype, small details may change.

Features that will change in future prototypes
The front bar section will be deeper....so that the front can accept an appliance, if necessary.
We will try raised panels of various profiles on the sides.
We will standardize the front and back interior.  Changes can still be made, but will require an up-charge.
We will likely try different tabletop profile
Several moulding changes
